We are a plain, conservative Christian, homeschooling family that homesteads a small farm in the Ozark Mountains. Shepherds are our breed of choice for many reasons.
We have five German Shepherds, each of them are members of our family. We are not breeders and our dogs do not live in kennels.
We began with one little shepherd boy that we brought home when he was 8 weeks old......that was over 11 years ago He stole our hearts. The shepherd breed has become the only breed for us.
German Shepherds are known for their beauty and brains; their strength and their gentleness. They are a helper to the disabled, a guardian of homes, a companion to children, a protector of livestock, and a partner in crime-fighting. There is little a shepherd cannot do, and almost nothing it isn't willing to try. They will give you their heart and they will dedicate their lives to you and your family.
Since we first fell in love with shepherds, we have acquired a few more. A few are puppies that we have kept and a few have been rescued. Our current Daddy, Tobias, is the son of the first little shepherd boy.
